CONAN COVER COMING SOON!

I am very excited about this, you guys. I grew up with Conan the Barbarian. I wanted to paint Conans like Frank Frazetta in those powerful looking fantasy lands with the muscular clouds, but over the years, my style has evolved into something quite different. I still see the influence in my work today. I had the opportunity to paint in that style again for Double Fine’s Brutal Legend game, since it was set in the world of HEAVY METAL and called for Conan vibes. In fact, I drew the main character Eddie Riggs in the same way the drew Conan here. Anyway, we can all fast forward to earlier this year when the gang at Heroic Signatures/ Titan Comics asked if I would like to paint a little Showdown inspired cover for Conan. I WAS VERY DOWN, YOU GUYS!

This is for CONAN THE BARBARIAN BATTLE OF THE BLACK STONE #3 with a whole cast of crazy characters. The extra exciting thing for me is that the story is written by my old friend JIM ZUB. Good to be working on something that guy has made.
